Library is where you manage the karaoke collection. It holds the folder connection, song metadata, preferred versions, health checks, and songbook export. Some controls only inspect the collection, while others rename or move real files. For this walkthrough, use a backed-up practice collection, and read the exact path and count before confirming any change.

Start with the Library folder card. Read the root path, song count, and watcher status. Choose Folder is for first-time setup or selecting a different collection. After you choose a folder, wait for scanning and importing to finish, then check the result and the displayed root. A clean folder selection starts the watcher. Rescan now reads new and changed files in the existing root, asks for confirmation, and preserves whether the watcher was previously running.

Relink Folder is for an existing collection that moved to another drive or location. Choose its new root and read the verification message. It can report how many sampled files were found. That sample is a useful check, but it is not an audit of every track. If your drive is simply unplugged, reconnect it before removing missing catalog entries.

The watcher badge tells you whether ongoing folder watching is active. Start Watcher and Stop Watcher change that behavior. Refresh reloads the tab's data; it does not scan the entire folder. Check the badge after scans and cleanup, because a final success banner may not preserve an earlier watcher warning.

Read the stat tiles before changing the collection. They show catalog songs, artists, duplicate groups, unparsed files, and missing entries. Several alternate versions can contribute to the song count, and a duplicate group can be intentional. If the Library Health card says a check failed, investigate that failure instead of interpreting an absent list as a clean bill of health.

Brand Priority Order chooses the preferred manufacturer when a song has several versions. Drag rows or use the arrows to arrange the list. You can send a brand to the top or bottom, add a code manually, or remove a code from this preference list. These changes remain local until you press Save Order. Save recalculates the library defaults once and reports the result. Revert restores the saved order. Removing a code does not remove its songs, and scanning can bring a still-present brand back at the bottom.

Finish these edits before refreshing or rescanning. In the reviewed source, those operations can reload the saved order over unsaved changes while leaving the unsaved-change bar visible. Check the actual list rather than relying only on the bar.

Now correct a known song. In Edit Song Details, type at least two characters from the title, artist, or filename. Verify the result and choose Edit. Correct Artist, Title, and Brand, then decide whether Rename file to match should stay checked. With it off, you are making a catalog metadata correction. With it on, the app also attempts to rename the real file. Press Save and read the result carefully: metadata can save even when a file rename fails. Search the corrected text again, and inspect the filename if you requested a rename.

Fix Unparsed Songs uses the same editor. Its suggested artist or title is a best guess, so review it before saving. Only one inline editor is open at a time. A catalog correction persists through ordinary rescans; a matching filename also helps when building a fresh catalog. Use Quarantine only when the file should leave the collection, rather than as a way to fix its name.

For versions, search Duplicate Tracks and select a song. The page scrolls to Version Options, showing the brand, disc and track, filename, and the Default badge. Compare the actual files. Make Default is a per-song override and acts directly in this tab. It changes the catalog preference and tonight's queued copies, so do not treat it as a one-time audition button. Verify which row carries the Default badge afterward.

The headphone button previews a version. Set up a separate cue output before expecting audio in your headphones. If cue is off or shares an output with karaoke or Break-Wave, the app can show a silent video preview and explain why. The preview has its own Key slider; changing it restarts the preview. Stop preview when finished, especially before you rename or move that file. Right-click on a version row also offers Rename file and Quarantine this file. Read those dialogs because they affect the real collection and, for quarantine, can redirect queued copies to another available version.

Work through health checks deliberately. In Loose File Cleanup, choose Preview first. Review which MP3 and CDG pairs would be zipped, which bare audio files would move, any skipped items, and the destination. Run Cleanup becomes available only after a preview with work to do. Its confirmation states the count. A real run moves the originals and bare audio to Quarantine and rescans; keep the backup and inspect the result before deleting anything yourself.
00:05:24.583 | library-13
Missing Files are catalog entries whose paths are unavailable. Reconnect or relink first if the root moved. A row's Remove button acts directly on that catalog entry. Remove All From Catalog asks a counted confirmation and covers the full missing list, including rows outside the visible batch. Neither operation deletes a file from disk.
00:05:47.083 | library-14
Run Audit checks karaoke ZIPs for the expected audio and lyrics. Read every flagged path and reason before choosing Quarantine All Flagged. A clean ZIP audit does not prove that every format or output device works. Redundant Copies is another separate check: it shows extra copies of the same pressing and identifies what will be kept. Its quarantine button can cover more groups than the sample visible on screen, so read the total in the confirmation.

Possible Duplicate Spellings and Artist Spelling Variants require a judgment call. Similar names can describe different songs or artists. For a true title match, choose the canonical title and review Merge and rename files. For a false match, Not a duplicate dismisses the pair. For artist variants, select the intended spelling and Consolidate. Both merge and consolidation can rename real files, so inspect the affected count and verify the resulting search entries.

When the catalog is ready, choose Export Songbook CSV and select a destination. Wait for the export count, then open the saved file and check familiar titles and your corrections. A simulated export from older footage does not establish that your computer can write to this destination.

Finish by checking the root path, saved brand order, corrected song, default versions, watcher badge, and exported file. Review the Quarantine folder after any file moves. This guide is source reviewed for version 1.30; the native file dialogs, real files, preview audio, and hardware behavior still need a check on your own host computer.
