Ghost-Trax turns audio into an instrumental, a vocal guide, and synchronized karaoke lyrics through the connected Ghost-Trax service. In Auto-KJ version one point thirty, open the tab between Library and Analytics. The workflow is connect, prepare, process, review, and then add the result to the library. Use only audio and artwork you have permission to upload and process.

Start in Account. Sign in with your Ghost-Trax email and password, or save an existing API key. The Create account link changes the same form to registration. Wait for Connected and check the account email. A saved key and a working connection are different things. Read the available plan allowance and credits before submitting a batch.
00:00:46.750 | ghost-trax-03
If the account needs email verification, use Resend verification email and complete that step before downloading. Buy credits loads the current packages and opens checkout when you choose one. Review the actual offer before paying. New API key is not a connection refresh: it replaces the key and stops the old one working wherever it is used. Keep all credentials out of screenshots and recordings.

Choose audio files lets you select one song or a batch in the supported audio formats. At this point, the files are staged locally. Nothing is added to the upload queue until you press Process. Review the artist and title for each song because the initial names are guesses from the filename. The final library name uses the Ghost-Trax number, artist, and title.

Each staged file has its own processing options. Split backing vocals requests separate lead and backing guides. High quality asks for cleaner separation with longer processing. Online lyrics uses published lyrics when available. Choose an intro title-screen template for that song. Custom intro artwork can be added later in the editing studio. Remove an unwanted file with the cross, or use Add songs to expand the batch.
00:02:04.917 | ghost-trax-06
When the batch is correct and you intend to submit it, press Process. Check that the staged list clears and the queued message appears. The desktop backend saves the waiting queue. It can continue while you work on another tab and resume when the app restarts, but the computer must still be running and connected for uploads to progress. Leave the source files in place until uploading finishes. The interface supports up to four active processing tracks.
00:02:34.917 | ghost-trax-07
The waiting list marks the item currently uploading. You can remove a waiting item with its cross, but the control is disabled once it is marked uploading. Check Your tracks if an upload started at the same moment you tried to remove it. Removing a local waiting item and canceling a job already on the service are separate actions.
00:02:57.083 | ghost-trax-08
Your tracks shows the processing stages. Queued, separating, transcribing, and rendering are coarse progress states, not an exact percentage or finish-time promise. Read any error before submitting the same file again. Active jobs offer Cancel; a successful cancellation reports the credit returned. Confirm the outcome rather than assuming a click completed it.
00:03:20.750 | ghost-trax-09
Some tracks pause at ready to review before the final karaoke render. Open Title Screen to correct the artist and title. Open Lyrics to fix transcription mistakes. Keeping the same number of words preserves the existing timing positions. Adding or deleting words redistributes timing, so those passages need another listening check. Generate submits the corrections and renders the track. Close does not submit them, and Cancel track cancels the job.

Once the job finishes, you have two different choices: Review or Add to library. A finished cloud job is not yet proof that the track is in your local song catalog. Review is the safer route for a new result. It first downloads into a holding folder outside the library, where singers cannot request it yet.
00:04:10.000 | ghost-trax-11
Choose Preview in headphones for a private listen with the mini window. This needs a separate Headphone Cue device in Settings. If cue is off or shares an output with karaoke or Break-Wave, the preview window may open silently. Read the silent-preview notice and fix the route rather than turning up the room speakers.
00:04:31.250 | ghost-trax-12
Preview in main window uses the main karaoke player. If another song is active, the normal flow asks whether to interrupt it. Cancel that prompt during a live performance. A stopped rehearsal session is the right place for a main-output preview.
00:04:47.917 | ghost-trax-13
Listen for the quality of the instrumental and any remaining vocal leakage. Check the title spelling, lyric words, timing, and ending. Stop the preview explicitly before leaving the tab. When the result is ready, use Add to library in the review panel. That stops the preview and moves the held copy into the library. Discard removes the held copy while leaving the track in your Ghost-Trax account.
00:05:14.000 | ghost-trax-14
The row-level Add to library skips the review. After previewing, prefer the review panel's Add button because it stops playback before moving the file. Leaving the tab is not a dependable way to stop a preview. Wait for the added-to-library result, then check Library and confirm that the song is available in the normal karaoke workflow.
00:05:36.417 | ghost-trax-15
For a completed track, Edit and downloads opens the fuller studio. Check the track name at the top. Package saves the karaoke ZIP to a destination you choose. Video appears when the job has a rendered video. Instrumental and Vocals save separate stems. Harmony appears for a job with the appropriate backing-vocal output. These exported files are separate from Add to library, so save them deliberately and verify the destination.
00:06:04.333 | ghost-trax-16
Look, Branding and Intro Screen controls the title design, lyric colors, font, and supplied artwork. Choose a stock title screen or a custom intro image. The editor describes a ten-second silent lead-in before the lyrics begin. Intro artwork and video background art are separate choices.
00:06:23.500 | ghost-trax-17
Set unsung words, the active sung word, background, and outline colors. Use the mini preview to check contrast. Choose a readable font. If you add a logo, watermark, or background image, remember those files are sent to the service for rendering. Press Render CDG and Video to create the new output. Merely changing a color or choosing a file does not finish a render. Wait for the completion message and read any error.
00:06:50.750 | ghost-trax-18
Waveform Lyric Timing Studio is where you refine the word boundaries. Choose the vocal waveform, instrumental, or available harmony stem. Play a passage, zoom in, and use Follow when you want the view to follow playback. Drag a word's body to move it, or its start and end handles to change the duration. Double-click the waveform word to edit its text. The word list below provides text fields, deletion, and fine timing nudges.
00:07:18.583 | ghost-trax-19
Add Word at Playhead inserts a missing word. The fine controls adjust timing in five-hundredths of a second. After moving a boundary, replay the whole phrase and check the neighboring words too. Save and Re-render CDG submits the timing changes. If you also need a new video, use Render CDG and Video in the appearance controls.
00:07:40.417 | ghost-trax-20
A re-render replaces the output for the same cloud job. If Auto-KJ already has that job in its holding folder or library, the completed render also refreshes that local copy. Do not edit a track that is currently in live use. Earlier files exported to another destination are separate copies, so download a new export when you need the revision there.
00:08:03.333 | ghost-trax-21
Finish by auditioning the final output you actually plan to use. Verify the intro, lyric accuracy, sync, audio route, and ending. Connected, processed, downloaded for review, and added to library describe different milestones. Checking each one keeps a cloud success message from being mistaken for a stage-ready track.
