These terms cover use of the Auto-KJ app and auto-kj.com. They are the customer license for the software. They are not a license to the songs you play.
Free version and full version
- Free version — $0. Fairness Engine rotation on your computer, with your files. No card.
- Full version — about $10 per month for one live show at a time. Singer phones and LAN failover are part of the full version. A 60-day trial is available inside the app: no card, nothing bills automatically, one trial per account and per computer.
- Another live show at the same time — +$5 per month for each extra simultaneous show. That is shows happening at once, not how many nights you work.
- Lifetime — $500 once. No recurring fee. Nothing to cancel.
- OpenKJ songbook — $5 per month or $50 per year on its own, or included with the full version and with lifetime.
Current prices are on the pricing section and on the full-version page. If those disagree with a checkout total, the checkout total is the price.
How billing works
Paid plans are purchased through Stripe. We do not store your card. A monthly plan renews until you cancel. Cancel from the account page on auto-kj.com: auto-renew turns off, and the plan runs through the end of the period you already paid. The lifetime purchase is a one-time payment and has nothing to cancel.
The software license
The full version is licensed to the account that bought it. The license key in that account is what activates the app. Don’t share the key or resell the app. You may use the free version and the full version to run your own shows. We can suspend an account that abuses the service, breaks these terms, or shares keys.
Your music
Auto-KJ does not include a licensed song catalog. You supply the tracks. You are responsible for the rights to play them in public. This software license is not a mechanical license, a public-performance license, or permission to copy someone else’s recordings.
The service
The app and the site are provided as they are. Rotation rules are a tool for your show; you still decide who sings. We don’t promise a particular night will go a particular way. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for lost tips, lost gigs, or lost files. Your library stays on your machine — keep your own backups.
