This page is for singer accounts. You create those in Auto-KJ Singer, either the Android app (com.autokj.singer, published on Google Play by Kircher Ent) or the web app at singer.auto-kj.com. Both use the same account. If you only joined shows as a guest, you have no account to delete. See Guests and kiosks below. Host (KJ) accounts are deleted from the account page on auto-kj.com.
Delete it in the app
- Open the Auto-KJ Singer app. In a browser, you can go to singer.auto-kj.com/?start=profile instead.
- Sign in with your email and password. The app then opens on your profile. If you are in a show, tap 🎭 Social in the bottom bar, then 👤 Profile.
- Scroll to the Delete Profile section and tap Delete Profile…
- Enter your current password and tap Permanently delete profile.
The deletion happens right away and cannot be undone. The app signs you out and shows “Your profile was permanently deleted.” Logging out is not the same as deleting your account.
If you forgot your password, tap Forgot password? on the sign-in screen. Reset the password from the emailed link, which expires after one hour, then follow the steps above.
Ask us by email
If you can’t sign in or reset your password, email support@auto-kj.com from the address on the account. Use the subject “Auto-KJ Singer account deletion” and include your stage name. Never send your password. We may ask you to confirm that you control that email address. Then we delete the account the same way the app does and reply when it is done.
What is deleted
Deleting your account removes these from our database, immediately and permanently:
- your account: email address, password hash, stage name, and all sign-in sessions and password-reset links
- your profile photo and your optional “about me” details
- your song history, favorites, applause you received, badges, featured badge and check-ins
- friends and friend requests, duet invites and song suggestions, and band memberships (a band left with fewer than two members is removed)
- links a host made between your stage name and your account, and history a host added to your account
- turn-alert (push) subscriptions and alert permissions for shows
- host “hide this photo” settings and photo reports about your account
What is kept, and for how long
- Anonymous show totals. Before your account is removed, your completed performances are added to totals per show and song: how many times the song was completed at that show, total applause, and first and last time. These totals have no singer or account ID, stage name, email or any other link back to you, and a new account can’t be linked to them. They are kept as long as the host’s show record exists, and are removed when the host deletes that show or their account.
- The host’s own records. The host’s Auto-KJ computer keeps its own copy of each show, such as stage names and songs sung. That copy is on their computer, not on our server, and deleting your account can’t reach it. Ask the host or venue to remove it.
- Requests held while a host was offline. These contain a stage name and a song, are linked to the host’s gig rather than your account, and are removed when the host deletes the gig or their account. Email us if you want specific ones removed.
- Server access logs. Our web server keeps logs with IP addresses, times and requested addresses. Those addresses can include a stage name or nearby-search coordinates. They are not linked to your account. Old entries are overwritten automatically as the logs fill up, usually within about two weeks. Email us to have entries about you removed sooner.
- Your phone. The browser on your phone may still hold cached data for the site, such as your last stage name, setlist and settings. Clear the site data for singer.auto-kj.com in your browser, or uninstall the app and clear your browser’s data for the site.
Guests and kiosks
Guests and people who request songs on a venue’s Auto-KJ Kiosk tablet don’t have an account. Their stage name and requests go to the host for that show. To have guest information removed, email support@auto-kj.com with the venue, the date and the stage name you used. Contact the host or venue for the copy on their computer.
For everything Auto-KJ collects, see the privacy policy.
