Round-Based Turn Tracking
The engine tracks when every singer has completed their turn. When the last singer in the round performs, the round auto-advances and everyone starts fresh. No singer gets a second turn before everyone else gets their first.
Duplicate Turn Prevention
When a singer tries to add a second song in the same round, the KJ gets an immediate warning: "This singer has already performed — 4 singers still waiting." You can still allow it, but you'll never accidentally let someone cut the line.
Smart Song Blocking
Once a song is performed tonight, it's blocked — even if someone picks a different version. "Don't Stop Believin' [Karaoke Version]" and "Don't Stop Believin' (In the Style of Journey)"? Same song. The engine knows.
Singer Alias Detection
"Mike," "Michael," and "Mike S." — all the same singer. The alias system resolves alternate names to a single identity. No gaming the rotation by signing up under a different name.
DJ Override — You're Still the Boss
Fairness rules are enforced, not imposed. The KJ can override any block with a single click — birthday requests, encores, whatever you need. Overrides are tracked per-singer, per-song. You stay in control.
